# Pay your cleaners at month end from a record Lemon already kept

**In short:** Every completed clean is already filed against the cleaner who did it, with the property, the date and its photos. At month end you set a fee per property or per cleaner, mark the batch paid and export the spreadsheet for your accountant. 533 jobs and 916 photos sit on that record since February 2026.

## The last evening of the month

It is the 30th. You owe three cleaners money, and the only complete record of what they did is a chat thread each. So you scroll. Flat 3 on the 4th — was that Maria or Andri? There is a photo of a made bed on the 12th with no address attached. Somewhere in the middle of the month one of them did a second clean because a guest left the kitchen in a state, and you agreed a fee for it in a voice note.

An hour later you have a number for each cleaner and you are about ninety per cent sure of it. The ten per cent is the part that turns into a message on the 1st.

## What the count actually needs

Four facts per clean: which property, which date, which cleaner, and did it finish. That is the whole payout. The reason it takes an hour is not the arithmetic — it is that those four facts are scattered across three threads, your calendar and your memory, and nothing joined them at the moment they were true.

Lemon joins them at the moment they are true. The job is created from the checkout in the calendar, offered to a named cleaner, accepted by her on the record, and closed only when the checklist and the photos are in. By the 30th the list already exists. In production that record holds 533 cleaning jobs created since 12 February 2026 — 506 from checkouts, 20 added by hand, 6 mid-stay — across 24 properties and 20 cleaners, with 282 completed and 916 photos attached to them.

## Month end, then

You open payouts, set the fee — per property or per cleaner, whichever way you actually pay — and Lemon totals each cleaner's completed jobs for the period. There is nothing to check it against, because it is the record. You mark the batch paid, and you export the spreadsheet your accountant asks for. The hour does not move somewhere else. It stops existing.

## The argument that does not happen

"I did four at Flat 3, not three." That conversation ends with a list rather than a search. Each completed job carries the cleaner who accepted it, the property, the date, the time it was finished and the photos she took in the flat — and how long it took, which in production runs to a median of 93 minutes across a 182-job sample. A clean that ran long is visible instead of argued about. So is a second clean you asked for mid-month, because you added it as a job rather than as a voice note.

Cleaners come out of this better off too. The person who did 31 jobs gets paid for 31 jobs, on a list she can see the same way you can, and nobody has to remember anything.

## What the hour is worth

Arithmetic, not a measurement — put your own figures in. A co-host with six properties, each turning over four or five times a week in season, runs around 100 jobs a month. Tallying those from chat threads at twenty seconds a job is over half an hour of pure counting, before the two you have to ask about and the one you get wrong. Call it an hour a month, every month, in the evening, when you want to be doing anything else.

## Starting from the middle of a month

You do not need a clean slate. Add your properties, paste the calendar links, invite the cleaners you already use, and from that day forward every clean lands on the record with its cleaner, its date and its photos. The jobs before then stay in WhatsApp, where you will not need to look for them again after this month's count.
