# Airbnb calendar sync (iCal)

**Short answer:** Paste the Airbnb listing's iCal export link into the property in Lemon. Lemon reads it every 5 minutes, files "Reserved" events as guest bookings with a checkout cleaning job and "Airbnb (Not available)" events as blocks with no job. 9 of Lemon's 18 production feeds are Airbnb.

## Setting it up

1. In Airbnb: Calendar → Availability settings → Connect calendars → Export calendar. Copy the `.ics` link.
2. In Lemon: Properties → the property → add iCal feed → paste. Lemon detects the platform from the link.
3. The first sync runs immediately (rate-limited to protect the feed); then every 5 minutes.

## What Airbnb's feed carries

Airbnb is the better-behaved export. Guest stays arrive with a `Reserved` summary and a reservation link in the description; your own blocks arrive as `Airbnb (Not available)`. Lemon files the first as `confirmed` (job created) and the second as `blocked` (no job, no cleaner message). Guest names are not included.

## What still goes wrong, and what Lemon does

- **Feeds imported from another platform.** If your Airbnb calendar imports Booking.com's, the Booking.com stays reach Lemon through Airbnb's export with Airbnb's delay on top. Connect Booking.com's own feed to the same property instead; Lemon de-duplicates stays that appear on both feeds with the same dates.
- **Oscillation.** Two platforms importing each other can make a checkout flip between dates on alternate fetches. Lemon's oscillation guard holds the job steady for 48 hours.
- **Disappearance.** A cancelled Airbnb stay simply stops appearing. Lemon flags it, waits the confirmation window, and never cancels inside 24 hours of checkout on feed evidence alone.

## Also useful

Lemon exports its own calendar per feed (an export token), so you can import Lemon's view back into a personal calendar. Google Calendar sync is separate and puts bookings and cleaning jobs in your own Google calendar.
