Photo proof of every clean, before the guest walks in

In short

Every cleaner follows the same checklist for the property and submits a photo per area. You see the bathroom, the bed and the kitchen on your phone before check-in, from anywhere, and the owner you co-host for can see them too. Cleaners have submitted 916 photos through Lemon in production so far.

The message you are trying never to get

It arrives at 16:20, from a guest who checked in at 15:00: a photo of a hair in the shower, or the bin that was not emptied, or the bed made with the wrong linen. You call the cleaner. She says it was clean when she left. You have no way to know, and neither does she, and the review is already being written in the guest's head.

For a co-host there is a second version: the owner asks, on a Tuesday, whether the flat was actually cleaned between the last two bookings. You say yes. You think yes.

What a Lemon turnover leaves behind

Each property has its own checklist — the areas you care about, in the order that makes sense for that flat. When the cleaner opens the job from the link on their phone, the checklist is there. They tick each area and take a photo of it with the camera inside the job page; nothing to install, no gallery to hunt through. The job is not finished until the areas are done.

The result, for every single turnover:

You look at it from wherever you are, before the guest arrives, and it is there for as long as you need it.

The same standard whoever turns up

Your regular cleaner is ill on the busiest Saturday of August. The backup cleaner Lemon cascaded the job to has never been inside that flat. She opens the same link: the same checklist, the same areas, the same photo per area. The standard is set by the checklist, not by who showed up. Owners notice this before anyone else.

If you want the last word, turn on photo approval and nothing is marked complete until you have looked.

What the record does for a co-host

The owner's Tuesday question has an answer you can forward: the photos from that Sunday, taken at 12:40, all areas ticked. Fewer conversations, and shorter ones. When something does go wrong, you know whether it was the clean, the guest or the plumbing, because the photos say so.

The numbers so far

Since 12 February 2026, cleaners working through Lemon in Cyprus have submitted 916 photos and 152 checklist reports across 533 cleaning jobs. The median turnover clean, measured on 182 jobs, takes 93 minutes. All of it is in the monthly feed-integrity report, because a number you cannot check is not worth publishing.
