Do cleaners need to install an app or create an account?

Short answer

No. A cleaner receives each job as a message with a link. The link opens a mobile web page for that job — address, time, access details, checklist, camera for photos, accept or decline — with no login. A personal schedule link lists all their jobs. Those who want an icon can install Lemon as a web app.

How access works

Every job offer carries a token link (/c/<token>). The token is tied to that job and that cleaner, so the page shows exactly one job and nothing else about the organisation. From it the cleaner can accept or decline, start the job (optionally with a GPS check that they are at the property), work through the checklist, take photos, report supplies used, report a delay, problem or emergency, and finish. A second link (/schedule/<token>) lists every upcoming job for that cleaner.

No password, no account creation, no app-store install. Company cleaners with several staff can share a schedule link; individual cleaners keep theirs.

Why Lemon does it this way

Cleaning teams change. Asking every new cleaner to install an app, create an account and remember a password is where most tools lose the cleaner's cooperation. A link in the channel they already read costs nothing to adopt, and if a cleaner leaves, deactivating them invalidates their links.

For cleaners who want an icon

Lemon is a progressive web app: on iOS or Android, "Add to Home Screen" from the schedule page gives a full-screen app with push notifications (push_device_tokens, VAPID web push, FCM on mobile). Push is optional and in addition to the message channel.

What hosts and managers get

Hosts, co-hosts and property managers do log in — they see everything. The role decides what: hosts everything including billing, co-hosts everything except billing, property managers only their assigned properties with granular permissions.
