Setting it up
- In Hostaway: Settings → Hostaway API → create credentials (account ID and API key).
- In Lemon: Settings → Integrations → Hostaway → enter them. Lemon verifies and lists your listings.
- Map listings to Lemon properties. iCal feeds on those properties are deactivated by the integration.
- Lemon registers the signed webhook endpoint (
/api/pms/webhooks/hostaway) and starts the poll.
What Lemon does with the data
The same normaliser handles Guesty, Hostaway and Hospitable: each reservation becomes a Lemon booking with dates, status, platform and a reference, and no guest contact details. The checkout detector creates the cleaning job; a date change reschedules it and messages the cleaner; a cancellation cancels it and messages the cleaner at once.
Why direct beats iCal for Hostaway users
Hostaway already knows which nights are guests and which are blocks, which platform a stay came from, and when a stay was cancelled. Sending that to Lemon directly removes every ambiguity the iCal engine otherwise has to reason about — and removes the five-minute plus export delay.
